At the beginning of Autumn in the ancient Greece were officiated the Greater Eleusinian Mysteries, a secret cult based on the abduction of Persephone by Hades, god of the dead and king of the underworld.
The myth of Hades and Persephone symbolized the cycle of seasons, the flow of life and the inexplicable forces that churn beyond our senses and the human comprehension.
Ritual celebrates Persephone’s fall and ascent, Hades’s feral love and the dark and bright passions that move the hearts and the ground.
